Hi everybody,
You may be wondering what is the purpose of this thread, so, I'm gonna try to prepare, aware all of you for the changes we decided on, so I (we?) hope reduce the cry of some people to minimum. I'd wish not to see any complains here as it's really not that easy and simple and there were many obstacles (like Hohenheim's retirement, lack of time, small fights, ignore mode, bugs we couldn't fix [guess who can], etc), but the rebalance is finally done. The rebalance is going to be implemented in some part is based on the rebalance list I made with Makarno, but there still were many changes. To be honest, if Khan didn't appear I'm afraid rebalance would be totally different or not done/implemented at all. He's the one who was implementing changes at TS, made new moves (on my command hihi), remade the old ones. Big thanks for Khan.
We rebalanced all of the Pokemon we have in game, like basic forms, first evolutions and second as well. For example Pokemon like Bulbasaur and Ivysaur mostly gonna have faster cooldowns, but Venusaur gonna have changed damage, cooldowns and move set. We rebalanced few things, like:
- general Pokemon rebalance (move set, damage, cooldown)
- Pokemon speed
- TMs (damage, cooldown, Pokemon tm learn set)
- created new moves
- remade old moves (animation, effect)
- remade conditions (burn [different moves has different X turns and deals Y damage], poison [different moves has different X turns and deals Y damage], flinch = 2s drunk, freeze/frozen solid - what do you prefer, added paralyze effect to some other moves, low accuracy = 5s [if I'm correct] blind condition)
I'd also explain some rules we were trying to follow.
- if Pokemon X has faster cooldown than Pokemon Y in m1 that means Pokemon X deals less damage
- 10 moves rule - we tried to make each Pokemon have 10 moves. I guess many of you gonna cry now that we took away 1 move from your Pokemon, but try to understand the purpose of that rule. Cooldown bars always gonna show you 12 moves = 10 moves + 2 TMs, so that eliminates the problem with 12+ cooldown bars. If Pokemon has 10 moves it may have passive also. Some Pokemon doesn't have 10 moves, but it's due to their general power, abilities, resistances, moves and stuff like that. Then please don't complain if X Pokemon has 8-9 moves, but has 2 passive moves.
Firstly I will write all the new moves and their purpose:
Seed bomb - grass type Egg Bomb
