I wonder if you couldn't replace any Target melee attack from raticate, by one which might be released from afar, maybe something like replacing super fang or hyper fang by chip away or pain split? It would be helpful while dueling.

Hi!

I don't have a Raticate myself... but the 2 moves you are suggesting to change are actually Raticate's signature moves.

I believe you should suggest changing another move.
I will quote what Raissa said about remove Hypnosis from Hypno.

Removing hypnosis from hypno is like removing hydropump from blastoise - something that is "natural" for this pokemon.

Additional suggestion:

Add TM Feint and Brick Break to it with restriction, tanking into consideration that it has scary face, and it is a by pass on reflect and protection, you might replace this (scary face) by swagger, for example.

Then it would be something like:

Swagger
Pain Split or Chip Away
Hyper Fang
Crunch
Double Team
Me First
Reversal
Assurance
Fury Swipes
Rage - Passive (Maybe?!)

Raticate would be good with some more interesting dark moves, bites, fangs, and perhaps some fighting or ground moves (something like dig)
