Better idea is set limit pokemon caugt to 1 and used pokeball's to infinity.

With 30 pb limit u still can convert it to %. Its simple.
If i caught 2 pokes on 30 pokeballs that means:

100%*2
/
30
= 6,(6)7% chance to catch pokemon (simple mathm. i hope i'm not wrong XD)

So i need to use 15~ pokeballs to catch poke.
Its just calculation, everything depends on luck .

It's more variant on the luck you have. Its all chance. but the formula 'Moj mistrz' suggested is right. even if the pb limit was 50 which would mean you'd only have to multiply the finished product by 2 it'd still be more variant on the luck.

I'm sure if another person was to the exact same thing they would get different results.

In my opinion you should try 2 different people with each 3x 30 PBs, this way you can compare all tables with eachother and think about how much is luck.
Guess some people would be helping. But trying 30 balls on evolved poke's? That's just luck.

its a great idea but i think you should do a greater number of pokeballs say 100? then you are more likely to have caught the harder pokemon and you can more easily give a % catch rate (without using a calculator)
