Every single player here agree with the fact that catch pokes here is hard, hard as hell.
Also, besides the modifier on the pokeball type, there's no other modifier.
Speaking as a Math teacher, the probabilities of getting a pokemon inside the ball is always the same. It doesn't matter if you use 1 to 10k balls on it. Well, In my opinion that should be changed.
Based on this, a lot of players have complained to me or to other staff members about this unfair system, that doesn't give anything for those who work hard trying to get something.
That's why, talking with the other staff members, Tiago gave a rough idea of what would be a fair solution for everyone.
What's our suggestion then?
Well, the catch rate should be slightly improved every certain ammount (of the same ball) used.
Example:
A X pokemon, have 0.01% of Basic chance. With Ub, that chance will increase to 0.04. Right now, it doesn't matter if you use 1 or 1.491.341.234.812.394 balls, every single one will have the same chance.
Well, this idea suggest, that every 1.000 balls (of the same type) used (this can be changed any time), the probability will be improved in 0.05% (with normal balls), 0.1% (with great/saffari balls), 0.15% (with super balls), 0.2% (with ultra balls) and 0.25% (with Rocket balls).
This would lead into the usage of a new formula to get the real chances to catch a pokemon, the formula would be like this:
With X = balls/1.000
BC = Basic chance
BAI = Balls ammount improvement
In the case of a pokemon with basic chance = 0.001, and using 2.545 Rocket Balls. It would be like this:
[0.001*4.5 + 0.25*(2.545/1.000)]% = (0.0045 + 0.63625)% = 0.63075%
Maybe a lot of you would think "This sucks, too low chance", But mathematically speaking, it's a lot. Too much imo, that's why the whole idea should be polished if Admins agree with this.
Well, I hope you've liked this idea. Keep in mind that this will only benefit those players that work hardly to get their catches. It won't modify the Catch system for those who don't even try something.
Warm Regards
