Egg System (Daycare)?

I've got told that the Egg System is already working, is that true?
If yes, how does it work EXACTLY?

* Only initial (primary) pokemons can be born?
If I put two Haunters there (male/female), it will ALWAYS breed a Gastly, or it has like.. 10% of chance of breeding a new Haunter and 90% of a Gastly?

* How long the egg takes to hatch? It's counted on steps like the Saffari?

That's the basic things I'd like to know.
If there are more important information, please post it!
I'll be glad if someone from the Staff post here, to confirm things with 100% sure.

I'm not really sure about that first one, but the time it takes to hatch I believe is based on time? I think I saw koob post that in another topic. D:
