Other spells (moves type normal) like covet,me first , can used against type ghost why mind reader not?

Well, me first and covet use a "random" move of your opponent, so, the move used is not really a normal type move, maybe is that why it's working. But actually i'm not sure if it's to work in this way or probably just don't work in ghost pokemons too. So let's wait until anyone bigger than me explain...
covet has nothing to do here, it just uses random tm of opponent without making it lose the cooldown.
Me first shouldn't work against ghost, so i will report it to Hohenheim. That still doesn't change the fact, that mind reader won't work against ghost.
