Hello Staff!!

I read there is going to be a rebalance of Pokemons in these days. I know asking this change would be a little bit sudden but hopefully you will take them into account.
Also, I remember there was already a rebalance thread about Milotic but I couldn't find it.

I was recently lvling up my Milotic and I couldn't help noticing it is weak. The reason of this thread is to suggest an improvement in Milotic's damage.

Most Milotics that I have seen, including mine, have Rain Dance as TM. Here is the Rain Dance's damage of a Milotic lvl 130 (from test room).

14:19 Your Milotic deals 1990 damage to an Arcanine.
14:19 Your Milotic deals 2008 damage to an Arcanine.
14:19 Your Milotic deals 1994 damage to an Arcanine.

Now, here is the damage of some other "popular" pokemons with Rain Dance at lvl 130.

Azumarril:
14:19 Your Azumarill deals 2470 damage to an Arcanine.
14:19 Your Azumarill deals 2488 damage to an Arcanine.
14:19 Your Azumarill deals 2496 damage to an Arcanine.

Vaporeon:
14:46 Your Vaporeon deals 2448 damage to an Arcanine.
14:46 Your Vaporeon deals 2442 damage to an Arcanine.
14:46 Your Vaporeon deals 2430 damage to an Arcanine.

Ludicolo:
14:17 Your Ludicolo deals 2476 damage to an Arcanine.
14:17 Your Ludicolo deals 2486 damage to an Arcanine.

Lapras:
14:17 Your Lapras deals 2432 damage to an Arcanine.
14:17 Your Lapras deals 2448 damage to an Arcanine.

Gyarados:
14:16 Your Gyarados deals 2434 damage to an Arcanine.
14:16 Your Gyarados deals 2464 damage to an Arcanine.
14:16 Your Gyarados deals 2444 damage to an Arcanine.

Slowking:
14:32 Your Slowking deals 2218 damage to an Arcanine.
14:32 Your Slowking deals 2204 damage to an Arcanine.
14:32 Your Slowking deals 2204 damage to an Arcanine.

Slowbro:
14:33 Your Slowbro deals 2482 damage to an Arcanine.
14:33 Your Slowbro deals 2464 damage to an Arcanine.
14:33 Your Slowbro deals 2500 damage to an Arcanine.

Empoleon:
14:42 Your Empoleon deals 2464 damage to an Arcanine.
14:42 Your Empoleon deals 2438 damage to an Arcanine.
14:42 Your Empoleon deals 2434 damage to an Arcanine.

Even Beartic causes a little bit more damage:
14:29 Your Beartic deals 2042 damage to an Arcanine.
14:29 Your Beartic deals 2034 damage to an Arcanine.
14:29 Your Beartic deals 2026 damage to an Arcanine

This is when it comes about the most popular TM it can learn.

Now, regarding its moveset; Hydropump and Water Pulse are within a reasonable damage-range, sometimes causing a little bit more damage and some other times causing a little bit less damage than the Pokemons mentioned above. However, Water Sport is in disadvantage.

Here is the comparison:
(*Noteworthy that depending on the Pokemons position this move can hit up to 3 times, but I kindly ask you to please focus on the damage dealt individually per hit)

Milotic:
14:50 Your Milotic deals 1804 damage to an Arcanine.
14:50 Your Milotic deals 1810 damage to an Arcanine.
14:50 Your Milotic deals 1804 damage to an Arcanine..

Mantine:
14:50 Your Mantine deals 2008 damage to an Arcanine.
14:50 Your Mantine deals 2004 damage to an Arcanine.

Vaporeon:
14:50 Your Vaporeon deals 2000 damage to an Arcanine.
14:50 Your Vaporeon deals 2010 damage to an Arcanine.

Politoed:
14:50 Your Politoed deals 2004 damage to an Arcanine.
14:50 Your Politoed deals 2008 damage to an Arcanine.
14:50 Your Politoed deals 2000 damage to an Arcanine.

Kingler:
14:53 Your Kingler deals 1804 damage to an Arcanine.
14:53 Your Kingler deals 1806 damage to an Arcanine.

Poliwrath:
14:53 Your Poliwrath deals 1804 damage to an Arcanine.
14:53 Your Poliwrath deals 1806 damage to an Arcanine.
14:53 Your Poliwrath deals 1804 damage to an Arcanine.

Seaking:
15:07 Your Seaking deals 2178 damage to an Arcanine.
15:07 Your Seaking deals 2176 damage to an Arcanine.

Gorebyss:
15:07 Your Gorebyss deals 1810 damage to an Arcanine.
15:07 Your Gorebyss deals 1806 damage to an Arcanine.
15:07 Your Gorebyss deals 1816 damage to an Arcanine.

Now, as you can see Kingler (worth 400 HD) , Poliwrath (worth 1k) and Gorebyss (worth 500 HD) are on the same range as Milotic, who I believe is considered as a very rare and expensive Pokemon. Furthermore, I was really amazed of how Seaking, being a pokemon worth 2 ten thousand dollars had the best damage with this move.

I want to make something clear: I AM NOT SAYING THAT JUST BECAUSE MILOTIC IS AN EXPENSIVE POKEMON IT SHOULD BE STRONG.
What I am saying is that Milotic is a rare pokemon and very hard to get so, in my opinion, I believe it should be stronger than it is right now.

I really hope you can consider this!

thank you for the attention!

Edit:
P.S.: I didn't use any Cloned pokemons in the comparison, since Milotic is not a Cloned Pokemon.

You made this suggestion right in the moment, when Zelricks was already moving files from test server to live - so yes, it was too late. We will see if its possible to balance during january, but... you need to be patient, cus we have lots of things to do.

About rain dance dmg, most of pokemons have it too high. Many tms have wrong damages, so you need to wait a bit until Zelricks/Lord Sqnik adjust it.

Just checking again in test room:
11:34 Your Milotic deals 2004 damage to an Aerodactyl.
11:34 Your Milotic deals 1992 damage to an Aerodactyl.
11:34 Your Milotic deals 1986 damage to an Aerodactyl.

11:33 Your Alakazam deals 2016 damage to an Arcanine.
11:33 Your Alakazam deals 2034 damage to an Arcanine.
11:33 Your Alakazam deals 2010 damage to an Arcanine.

11:33 Your Blissey deals 2038 damage to an Arcanine.
11:33 Your Blissey deals 2030 damage to an Arcanine.
11:33 Your Blissey deals 2034 damage to an Arcanine.

Even though the damage is slightly different, neither Blissey nor Alakazam are water-type pokemons.

There is something in Pokemon called: Same-type attack bonus.. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Same-type_attack_bonus

I quote what bulbapedia's website says about Same-type attack bonus:
"A Blastoise using Surf increases the power of the move by 50%, from 90 to 135, since both Blastoise and Surf are Water-type. However, a Blastoise using Ice Beam does not receive an increase in special attack power of the move, since Blastoise is not an Ice-type Pokémon.

A Lapras, on the other hand, would receive the same-type attack bonus when using either Surf or Ice Beam, since Lapras is both Water-type and Ice-type."

Now, let me be clear about something: I don't know if this bonus exists in PAdventures, however I AM NOT SUGGESTING YOU SHOULD REDUCE THE DAMAGE FROM RAIN DANCE TO THESE POKEMONS. What I am suggesting is to INCREASE MILOTIC'S RAIN DANCE/WATER SPORT DAMAGE based on the Same-type attack bonus.

THANK YOU!

Since STAB doesn't exists in padventures, I don't see a single reason of Milotic having higher damage in Rain Dance or any other water type.
Everything should have 1000 max 1100 dmg x1 as long, as it is not weak to rock/ground/fire, then it is 800.

Maybe in the future we will add such system, but not for now.

PS. Rain Dance / TMs damages weren't edited yet at all, since Zelricks is gone, I can't throw so much work on Lord Sqnik, who has other stuff to do as well.

Hello again.

It has been almost 2 years since I asked a boost in Milotic's Rain Dance damage.

Even though Raissa denied it back then, I would like to suggest again a boost in Milotic's Rain Dance damage to 2.4k per hit (or 2.3k per hit at least)

Milotic deals 2k (sometimes 1.95k) damage per hit with Rain Dance, whereas other pokemon, like SUPER POPULAR Kingler, deals 2.4k per hit, even though it already has 4 good AoE moves; Other popular water-type pokemon like Cloned Blastoise or Primarina deal 2.4k per hit too.
These pokemon are super popular, and have good water-type moveset... still they deal 2.4k per hit with Rain Dance.

I know Staff said we should not say "this pokemon has X thing, then this other pokemon should have it". I know I know... but I just mentioned it to make a point.

I believe Milotic, as a very rare pokemon, deserves to deal more damage.

As Demz said here:
>strong water pokemon
>milotic

pick one

It's sad but true. Milotic's moveset is good, in my opinion, but it needs a boost in damage.

Hopefully you see my point.

Milotic's Rain Dance dealing 2k dmg means normal damage is 1.82k because Rain Dance itself buffs water attacks by 10%. AFAIK no poke has such weak rain-like move of its own type. That's why every other Rain dance deals 2.2k (if base is 2k) or 2.4k (if base is 2.2k)

Well actually Bruxish's Rain Dance is perhaps as weak as Milotic's because it has a double buff (Wonder Skin + Rain Dance) and it barely deals 2.3k but I cant think of any other example
